Supporting Mental Well-Being in Agriculture

Supporting Mental Well-Being in Agriculture

Farming is demanding, and mental well-being is an important part of a strong and sustainable agricultural sector. Alongside innovation, education, and collaboration, Canada’s Farm Show Regina, SK, presented by Bunge, recognizes the importance of supporting the people behind the industry.

This year, Canada’s Farm Show will feature mental health resources for farmers and agricultural workers through The Do More Agriculture Foundation, Canada’s national champion for mental well-being in agriculture.

Do More Ag focuses on building awareness, fostering connection, and providing access to practical, farm-focused mental health resources. Their work is designed to meet farmers where they are, offering tools that can be accessed anytime, anywhere, and without judgment.

Resources shared through Do More Ag include peer-supported connection opportunities, self-reflection tools, access to crisis and support lines, community-based workshops, and stories that encourage open conversations about mental health in agriculture.

By bringing mental well-being into conversations at Canada’s Farm Show, the event helps reinforce that personal well-being is just as important as innovation and production when building a resilient agricultural sector.
